The Essential Tremor Toronto Network & Support Group organizes meetings for people living with Essential Tremor (ET) and their families. Every second month, we offer a place where everyone is welcome to speak openly about their challenges, fears and frustrations; we exchange ideas, compare stories and offer tips on how to cope at work, at home and in social situations.
We organize specialized information sessions with doctors and other health professionals who speak on recent research and discuss the latest available treatment options. These sessions are open to anyone interested in learning about ET, including teachers and health practitioners.
ET is the most common type of tremor and one of the most commonly observed movement disorders, yet most people know very little about it. In collaboration with the International Essential Tremor Foundation, and with the support of the Movement Disorders Clinic at Toronto Western Hospital, we actively advocate for greater awareness and education about Essential Tremor in Canada.
